Annual AMI Updates Coming to Illinois Solar for All<\/h3>\n

In February, Governor J. B. Pritzker signed Public Act 103-1066<\/a>, which included a revision to ILSFA requiring the Area Median Income (AMI) to be updated annually instead of every five years. This change to the income guidelines allows ILSFA eligibility to remain current with other third-party program verifications that update income eligibility guidelines annually. Illinois Solar for All will release more details about this change when the program updates AMI for the upcoming 2025-2026 program year.<\/p>\n

A new affordable housing development in East Garfield Park opened in January 2025. The development was built to Passive House standards, the premier level of environmental sustainability in multifamily construction! Fifth City Commons will feature an extensive rooftop solar project utilizing incentives from ILSFA to fulfill its goals of being a one hundred percent electric building.
