Overview

To create opportunities for a new and diverse workforce, Approved Vendors must demonstrate that a minimum number of hours worked on Illinois Solar for All projects will be done by graduates from qualified job training programs. These include a number of programs initiated through the Future Energy Jobs Act, as well as other programs across the state that lead graduates to achieve “Qualified Persons” status under the Illinois Commerce Commission’s Part 461 rule.

Job training programs

Illinois Solar for All is committed to providing tools and resources that help accelerate solar workforce development in Illinois to qualified trainees, Approved Vendors and their installation subcontractors, and other workforce development stakeholders. This site will regularly expand content, including providing a list of all Illinois Solar for All Approved Vendors, solar installation contractors, and helpful information and links to qualified job training programs across the state. These resources will help connect qualified trainees and the firms hiring them.
