*On September 16, 2021, the Illinois Power Agency withdrew the draft Second Revised Long-Term Renewable Resources Procurement Plan due to the Enactment of the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA).

The Illinois Power Agency (the Agency) has released the draft Second Revised Long-Term Renewable Resources Procurement Plan (draft Second Revised Long-Term Plan) for stakeholder review and feedback. Stakeholder feedback on the draft Second Revised Long-Term Plan is due on Thursday, September 30, 2021.

The Agency will also hold a virtual public hearing for the draft Second Revised Long-Term Plan on Friday, September 3, 2021. For more information on how to participate in the virtual hearing and how to submit stakeholder feedback, see the draft Second Revised Long-Term Plan’s Cover Letter and Hearing Notice.

The Agency is aware that legislative negotiations on omnibus energy legislation, including substantial revisions to the Illinois Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS), remain ongoing.  The Agency’s draft Second Revised Long-Term Plan has been prepared consistent with, and as required by, current Illinois law. Should new omnibus energy legislation become effective during this public comment period, the Agency will review that legislation and determine if this draft Second Revised Long-Term Plan should be withdrawn—likely with a new plan development cycle initiated upon that legislation’s effective date. If so, the IPA will issue guidance to that effect.
