Bright Neighborhoods

The Illinois Solar for All: Bright Neighborhoods initiative closed its enrollment period at the end of April. The program continues to process projects from Bright Neighborhoods through the end of the 2025-2026 program year. Bright Neighborhoods, also known as the Residential Solar pilot, has concluded. The program will consolidate its findings and make recommendations in the Bright Neighborhoods final report, which will be released this summer.

Home Repairs and Upgrades

The Home Repairs and Upgrades initiative’s budget was fully allocated for projects in the 2024-2025 program year. For the 2025-2026 program year, the ILSFA program will begin accepting new Home Repairs and Upgrades project applications once the Illinois Solar for All: Residential Solar submission window opens on June 16 at 9 a.m. CT.

An updated Reference List and initiative design will be released on June 13.
