Illinois Solar for All has released the updated Initiative Design, Reference List, and response to stakeholder feedback for the Home Repairs and Upgrades initiative. The updated design for the 2025-2026 program year includes the following adjustments to support the goals of the initiative:
- Increasing the Structural cost cap from $2,000 to $3,000 and including “decking” as an eligible repair based on demonstrated need
- Increasing the overall Roofing & Structural Cost cap from $14,000 to $15,000 to accommodate the new Structural cost cap
- Adding columns to the Reference List for Approved Vendors to provide detailed explanations for each proposed repair or upgrade
- Eliminating “Required Permit Fees” and “Main Service Panel Grounding” from the list of eligible repairs and upgrades available
The Home Repairs and Upgrades initiative will begin accepting applications on June 16 at 9 a.m. and will consider applications on a rolling basis. Approved Vendors are invited to apply for these additional incentives on behalf of participants with site readiness barriers for solar installation. Please see the Design document for instructions to submit projects to the program through the Approved Vendor Portal.
