Explore ILSFA’s Findings from the Bright Neighborhoods Initiative - Illinois Solar for All

Illinois Solar for All (ILSFA) has released a report with findings from the Illinois Solar for All: Bright Neighborhoods initiative. The Bright Neighborhoods initiative was developed as a pilot to test a consolidated program model. The ILSFA Program Administrator assumed a direct role in participant acquisition to reduce barriers and increase participation in the Illinois Solar for All: Residential Solar (Small) sub-program, encouraging small and emerging Approved Vendor participation.

The Bright Neighborhoods initiative was open for applications during the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 program years and focused on three community areas: the West Garfield Park and most West Side neighborhoods of Chicago, Waukegan, and the Carbondale-Marion micropolitan area.
