The Illinois Solar for All: Residential Solar (Small) Submission Window is Fully Allocated - Illinois Solar for All

The Illinois Solar for All (ILSFA) Program Administrator has deemed the Illinois Solar for All: Residential Solar (Small) solar projects submitted during the rolling submission window fully allocate the sub-program’s additional $7 million budget that was made available from the recent ICC order modifying the IPA’s 2024 Long-Term Renewable Resources Procurement Plan. Projects determined to be eligible will be sent to the Illinois Commerce Commission for approval for the 2025-2026 program year, first assuring satisfaction of the sub-program environmental justice and energy sovereignty funding carveouts.

Approved Vendors may submit Residential Solar (Small) projects to be added to a waitlist until November 4, at 5 p.m. CT. If additional funding becomes available, projects will be prioritized from the waitlist on a first-come, first-served basis. Funding may become available if an approved project is withdrawn or if funding remains in the Residential Solar (Large) sub-program on March 1, 2026. The Program Administrator will announce the availability of funds shortly before then, and the Project Dashboard may be referenced throughout the program year for remaining funding capacity. Otherwise, the ILSFA program will retire the waitlist on May 29, 2026, at the conclusion of the 2025-2026 program year.
