The Illinois Solar for All: Residential Solar (Small) Submission Window is Fully Allocated - Illinois Solar for All

Illinois Solar for All has fully allocated the budget for Residential Solar (Small) projects submitted during the rolling submission window that opened on November 3, 2025. The Illinois Solar for All program has received an additional $7 million in funding through the recent Illinois Commerce Commission order, modifying the IPA’s 2024 Long-Term Renewable Resources Procurement Plan. Projects determined to be eligible will be sent to the Illinois Commerce Commission for approval for the 2025-2026 program year, ensuring first that the sub-program’s environmental justice and energy sovereignty funding carveouts are satisfied.

Approved Vendors may submit Residential Solar (Small) projects to be added to a waitlist until November 4, at 5 p.m. CT. If additional funding becomes available, Illinois Solar for All will prioritize projects from the waitlist on a first-come, first-served basis. The program will notify Approved Vendors if any approved projects are withdrawn, or if any funding remains in the Residential Solar (Large) sub-program as of March 1, 2026. Approved Vendors can reference the Project Dashboard throughout the program year to assess remaining funding capacity in the Residential Solar (Large) sub-program. Otherwise, the ILSFA program will retire the waitlist on May 29, 2026, at the conclusion of the 2025-2026 program year.
