Illinois Solar for All has opened the rolling submission window for Energy Sovereignty projects within the Illinois Solar for All: Community Solar sub-program.
The available budget for Energy Sovereignty projects is approximately $9,660,179.42. Approved Vendors can continue to submit project batches with an Energy Sovereignty component. Submissions will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until either the budget is exhausted or until May 29, 2026, whichever comes first.
On December 15, 2025, the Project Selection Protocol was initiated for the entire portfolio of income-eligible and Environmental Justice Community projects submitted to the Community Solar sub-program. As part of the Project Selection Protocol, Illinois Solar for All will conduct a live random selection on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 9 a.m. CT. Approved Vendors and other interested individuals are invited to register to attend the livestream.
