On March 1, an estimated $23.09 million from the remaining Illinois Solar for All: Residential Solar (Large) sub-program budget will be available for Illinois Solar for All: Residential Solar (Small and Large) projects based on current project submissions. The remaining budget, approximately $7.75 million, will be reserved for Environmental Justice Community (EJC) Residential Solar (Large) projects, of which there is one project submitted at $6.11 million.
Illinois Solar for All will open a new rolling submission window on March 2, 2026, at 9 a.m. CT for Approved Vendors to submit new Residential Solar (Small and Large) projects.
The existing Residential Solar (Small) waitlist, containing $16.29 million in project submissions, will automatically be selected when the rolling submission window opens. Due to the sub-program’s popularity, the majority of the funds are expected to be exhausted quickly by projects on the waitlist. Any remaining funds will then be applied to projects submitted on a first-come, first-served basis.
A reminder announcement will be distributed when the rolling submission window opens and again when the remaining budget has been exhausted.
