Illinois Solar for All (ILSFA) will open a rolling submission window on March 2, 2026, at 9 a.m. CT for Approved Vendors to submit new Illinois Solar for All: Residential Solar (Small and Large) projects.
The remaining budget for Residential Solar (Large) projects as of February 26, 2026, is approximately $24.73 million. The program will hold an additional $1.63 million in the Residential Solar (Large) budget for the Environmental Justice Community (EJC) carveout.
The existing Residential Solar (Small) waitlist, which contains $15.50 million in project submissions, will be automatically submitted when the rolling submission window opens at 9 a.m. CT. The remaining $8.01 million in combined funds will be applied to newly submitted Residential Solar (Small) or non-EJC Residential Solar (Large) projects on a first-come, first-served basis, based on the submission timestamp.
The ILSFA program anticipates that combined funds in the Residential Solar sub-program budget will be exhausted quickly. Once the submitted projects meet the Residential Solar sub-program’s total allocated budget for the 2025-2026 program year, the rolling submission window will close. Any remaining projects submitted after funds are exhausted will be added to a waitlist. If a project is dropped, the ILSFA program will accept projects from the waitlist on a first-come, first-served basis. At the end of the 2025-2026 program year, the ILSFA program will retire the waitlist, and projects must be resubmitted upon window openings in the 2026-2027 program year.
