Consumer Protection Handbook and Contract Requirements Released

The Illinois Power Agency has released the final versions of the Consumer Protection Handbook and Contract Requirements. Last month, the Illinois Power Agency (the Agency) issued a request for stakeholder feedback, and the Agency appreciates the stakeholders who submitted comments. The Agency carefully reviewed and considered all submitted comments before finalizing all documents.

The Agency is removing the proposed requirement that Community Solar participant contracts specify the subscription size and the corresponding expected production. While other stakeholder proposals were not adopted at this time, the Agency will consider the issues raised by stakeholders as the Programs and consumer protection initiatives continue to develop.
