| Join housing partners and local contractors for an energizing evening of connection, reflection, and collaboration around the future of home repair in our community. We’ll take a look back at the first year of our home repair pilot, lift up lessons learned, and discuss how we can collectively build a stronger, more responsive referral and repair pipeline for Englewood residents. |
| This event will also introduce and build momentum around Fix Our Homes Illinois—a growing coalition focused on ensuring seniors, especially in low-income and historically underserved communities, have access to the resources they need to stay safe and secure in their homes. |
| Fix Our Homes Illinois is currently working to: |
- Raise awareness among policymakers and the public about the urgent repair needs of older homeowners
- Advocate for city and state policies that expand home repair resources
- Educate seniors on existing services
- Build a workforce pipeline in partnership with contractors and training organizations
