Announcing Grassroots Organizations and Current Submissions
Grassroots Education Organizations
The first round of Grassroots Education Organizations has been chosen. Thank you again to all those who submitted applications. We are very pleased and excited to be working with the following organizations to help educate Illinois residents on Illinois Solar for All and its benefits!

- Chicago Bungalow Association
- Chicago Jobs Council
- Community Organizing and Family Issues
- Ecology Action Center
- Faith in Place
- People for Community Recovery
- Pilsen Environmental Rights and Reform Organization
- Prairie Rivers Network
- Sustain Rockford
These organizations will be conducting outreach campaigns across Illinois, focusing their work in Environmental Justice Communities in Chicago, Moline, Decatur, Jasper, Lawrence, East St. Louis, and several other cities and towns across the state. Together their reach will cover cities and towns in Northern, Central, and Southern Illinois as well as 16 rural counties in Central and Southern Illinois. Their role is to educate Illinois residents, non-profit/public facility staff, and workforce providers on the basics of solar and the benefits available through the Illinois Solar for All program. These Grassroots Education Organizations are trusted members of their communities, and they will utilize various outreach methods such as canvassing, open houses, and workshops to make residents, non-profit/public facility staff, and workforce providers aware of the program and how they can participate in it.

Project Submission Updates
When the submission window for Illinois Solar for All Low-Income Community Solar projects closed on June 13, 45 projects had been submitted. The projects submitted total over 59 MW in system capacity.
The Program Administrator is now reviewing the submissions and working with Approved Vendors to clarify and correct information where necessary. Eligibility will then be determined based on the program guidelines, and project selection will occur in August. The data and status of projects within the review process will be updated regularly, and information on Low-Income Distributed Generation and Non-Profit/Public Facilities projects submissions will be updated after the project submission window closes on Friday, June 28 at 5:00 PM.
