A proposed definition of eligibility for the Non-Profit/Public Facilities program was submitted for public comments on January 30, 2019. This definition proposes that qualified non-profit organizations and public facilities must be located in low-income or environmental justice communities. Specific eligibility requirements for non-profits and public facilities will be finalized before program launch in April 2019 and after public comments are solicited.
The Non-Profit/Public Facilities program is allocated up to $5 million per year. Like all Illinois Solar for All participants, qualified participants in this program are assured no upfront costs and that there will not be ongoing costs or fees that exceed 50% of the value of the energy produced.
