Help Improve Illinois Solar for All: Join the Advisory Committee

The Illinois Solar for All (ILSFA) Advisory Committee helps inform and shape the future of the program. Members of the committee are volunteers who leverage their expertise to enhance the program, increase participation, and better serve residents and stakeholders across the state.

Illinois Solar for All is looking for interested volunteers to join the Advisory Committee for the 2025-2026 program year. Applications will be accepted now through September 26, 2025.

COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP

The Advisory Committee is comprised of diverse members—including Approved Vendors, community residents, job training organizations, solar industry professionals, and more—who volunteer to serve and are selected by the ILSFA Program Administrator. The committee includes subcommittees that address specific topics on a regular basis. Members meet virtually as a full committee each quarter

As an Advisory Committee member, you will have the opportunity to:

Participate in meaningful and informed conversations among a diverse group of stakeholders, community residents, and program staff.
Contribute to committee topics and focus areas.
Develop and propose improvements to the ILSFA program.
Present ideas to encourage stakeholder feedback on the ILSFA program.

To be considered, all interested parties need to complete the online application form by September 26, 2025, at 5 p.m. CT.

Prospective applicants should possess the following qualifications:

Subject matter expertise (e.g., energy equity, community engagement, energy policy, solar).
Demographics that reflect the communities served.
Professional diversity (e.g., academia, grassroots organizations, business).
Lived experiences relevant to ILSFA goals.

A candidate’s lack of all the desired qualifications will not preclude them from being selected. Additional information about member expectations and desired qualifications can be found within the application.
